Whether you are a UWC alum, former teacher, parent or friend of UWC, there are many ways to get involved with the National Committee in Zambia! As a volunteer organisation, we are always looking for an extra set of hands.
Community service and activities are a huge component of the UWC movement and we would like to bring that level of commitment to our home communities. If you would like to get involved in projects in Zambia, or have some suggestions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you would you like to help spread the word about UWC in Zambia, you could do the following depending on the time you have:
Less than 30secs: “Like” and “share” our facebook page, follow us on twitter and tell your family and friends.
Less than 30mins: Contact your local youth organisation or school and ask them to put up a poster.
Less than 60mins: Get in touch with your local schools and youth organisations and ask to do a presentation about UWC! Please contact email@example.com for a presentation package.
If you have your own story to tell, then write to us about your UWC experience and we will use it in our publicity materials.
We run regular social events such as SS@10 (Second Saturday at 10am) brunch get-togethers and plan to hold more social and networking UWC events. Maybe you’d like to do a bit of meeting and greeting at one of our social gatherings, or maybe you’d like to help us out by setting up a (regular) event close to where you live. Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in UWC events.
We simply do not receive enough scholarship funding to give full scholarships to every young person that we select. We’d like to change that. There are lots of ways you can help to grow a national committee scholarship fund to help create more opportunities. You could make a donation as an individual or an organisation and/or you can donate your creativity and knowledge – we are always keen to hear about fundraising ideas or opportunities.
